Nebiye Yıldız, görsel anlatı ve fotoğraf üzerinden insanın içsel ve toplumsal katmanlarını araştıran bir sanatçıdır. Çalışmalarında, bireyin görünür olan ile görünmeyen arasındaki gerilimde nasıl var olduğunu sorgular. Özellikle portrelerinde, yüzün tamamını değil; bakışı, eli ya da bir silüeti merkeze alarak, izleyiciyi eksik olanla yüzleşmeye davet eder. Sanat pratiği, aidiyet, kimlik ve görünürlük kavramları etrafında şekillenir. Yıldız’a göre görünmemek bir eksiklik değil; bazen bir korunma, bazen de yeniden var olma biçimidir. Nebiye Yıldız is an artist who explores the inner and social layers of human experience through visual storytelling and photography. In her works, she questions how the individual exists within the tension between what is visible and what remains unseen. Especially in her portraits, rather than revealing the entire face, she focuses on the gaze, the hand, or a silhouette, inviting the viewer to encounter what is absent. Her artistic practice is shaped around the concepts of belonging, identity, and visibility. According to Yıldız, being unseen is not a deficiency; at times, it can be a form of protection, and at other times, a way of existing anew. This approach traces the presence of individuals who become lost within large cities, while also opening a space for a collective story. Yıldız approaches photography not merely as a tool of documentation, but as a space for thought and feeling. Rather than creating a direct narrative for the viewer, she chooses to leave spaces of ambiguity. These spaces allow each viewer to complete the work through their own experiences and memories.
